This nominee must have a record of implementing changes that have given advancement and positive exposure to the African American culture.

This nominee works tirelessly behind the scenes, but their impact is felt and seen by others. This nominee has a proven record of executing excellently and has an “WORK UNTIL IT’S DONE” attitude.

JFF 2022 “Diamond In The Rough” Award - Nominee’s for this award must be under the age of 35 and have exceptional qualities and potential. This individual is greatly involved in their community.  "Hold fast to dreams, for if dreams die, life is a broken winged bird that cannot fly.”- Langston Hughes

 

JFF 2022 “People’s Choice” Award - Nominee’s for this award will be chosen by The People. The individual or business is recognized as an invaluable asset to their community and abroad. This nominee is credited as being, “By the people, for the people.“My humanity is bound up in yours, for we can only be human together.”-Desmond Tutu

 

JFF 2022 “Freedom” Award – This award is based on the resilience of the nominee to bounce back from poor choices. This nominee has been previously incarcerated but after completing their sentence chose to turn their life around be an asset to the community. “For to be free is not merely to cast off one’s chains, but to live in a way that respects and enhances the freedom of others.” - Nelson Mandela

 

JFF 2022 “JFF Hero” Award - Nominations for this award are based on a heroic act that saved the life of an individual or individuals. The nominee’s selfless behavior impacted and changed the lives of others. “I have learned over the years that when one’s mind is made up, this diminishes fear.” - Rosa Parks

 

JFF 2022 Spirit Award - Nominee’s for this award should exemplify Godliness and deliver the unfiltered truth of the Word of God to The People. As stated in scripture, Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed. John 8:36
